HWA CHONG INSTITUTION, SINGAPORE - This is Dartebiota, reporting as a trainee editor for the third time for The Distillation Melayu, The World's Most Serious Paper.
In today's news, here's a brief outline:
- Tiu Wee Yong, the Secretary of State, allowed The Republic to enjoy air-conditioning for one full schooling day.
- The two Operations, Operation First Overcome and Operation Second Overcome, all to be overcome.
- New Reader Interface (RI) for The Distillation Melayu - Flash Version
1. The Secretary's Unforseen Contribution
Tiu Wee Yong, the soft-spoken secretary has, due to his current physical condition - he broke his leg, finally planned to arrive at school with a new surprise for Acerians. We shall be enjoying a fully-air conditioned Aphelion Room, D203, for Friday, 18th September (also Hwa Jin's and Zhong Sheng's birthdays). This is because the Aphelion Room is situated nearer to Gate 3, where Wee Yong would most probably enter school from. This is to bring convenience to all, a blessing in disguise.
2. Operations of Honour
In the midst of what most would consider as a hectic Term 4, The Republic has launched two operations, Operation First Overcome and Operation Second Overcome, both introduced in Term 3. As of today, 17th September 2009, Operation First Overcome has been brought to yet another surprise extension. It is now extended by Mr R.Spelmer, on the Language Arts Prose Analysis Test, which will be executed on Tuesday, 22nd September 2009.
This is further extended by Ms TanSC (not her real name), to Thursday, 24th September 2009, for her Chinese 弟子规 and 成语 tests, both aimed at introducing more Chinese influence and cleansing anti-Chinese elements.
Operation Second Overcome, is currently on countdown, in the White Hole's side board, maintained by Republic Chairman Zhu Hua Ying.
3. TDM Flash gets a whole new look
After the immediate conclusion of Operation Second Overcome, currently 20 days and counting, The Distillation Melayu will promptly release its new Flash Design Reader Interface. This is meant to allow better reading quality, and will act as a complement to the new class logo. Source codes courtesy of Grassoat.
(: In other news
- With the latest conflict of Henta (not her real name), more Acerians are protesting against her acts. This is evidently displayed when in two days, Acerians wrecked her study table in succession. AEP, launched by Grassoat, seems to have taken strong effect on the Acerians.
- The Military Police, Tan Sook Ching, was spotted today at the school terraces as early as 7:10am. Kudos to those who have already guessed what she is doing: morning exercises. She was seen by the band members. When interviewed, Mark Wei Ziyun, a Sec1 Saxophonist from the band, commented: "She's the only moving thing on the school terrain. What the heck is she doing?!"
She was seen flailing her arms in the air repeatedly, clapping her hands rapidly, and drawing circles in the air with her arms. Perhaps Acerians could make it down to witness a first-hand account of this phenomenon that occurs at 7:10:32am.
- Regarded by the Republic as 'chubby and bubbly', Cheong Han Long has created 36 seconds of havoc during LHC (Low, but High Class) lessons. LHC has bluntly demanded that the Republic copy down the GeoTahi test topics by hand. Han Long has kindly requested for LHC to print out the 1-page long Test Topics list for the republic. Hear the reply? "*eyeballs widened* [pauses].... NO!"
- On 15th September, Tuesday, The Civil Defence Force commemorated Civil Defence Day by sounding an alarm at 12:05pm. Amusing as it seems, Mr R. Spelmer laughed when he figured who Acerians were refering to - the famous yells of Sook Ching; "NO!", "YA!" and "A BIT SLOW.".
